BSST 423 Asset and Liability Management

Asset and Liability Management is an examination of the financial institution's loan-to-deposit ratios, deposit and lending interest rate pricing, and regulatory compliance. This course prepares students for internal bank management.

  1. Discuss the factors that indicate good financial health for a bank.
  2. Analyze a bank’s liquidity position and interest rate risk in relationship to loan demand and the current interest rate environment.
  3. Identify any areas of noncompliance with banking regulations.
  4. Provide bank management with optimal interest rates for loans and deposits.
