PT 943 Vestibular Rehabilitation

This course presents in-depth instruction in pathophysiology, evaluation, and management of patients/clients with vestibular system diagnoses. Students will apply current evidence for intervention and management of patients with vestibular dysfunction.

  1. Differentiate vestibular system pathology from other manifestations of vertigo, dizziness, and dysequilibrium.
  2. Identify the examination procedures used to evaluate patients with vestibular dysfunction to establish a diagnosis, prognosis, and plan of care.
  3. Perform examination procedures used to evaluate patients with vestibular dysfunction to establish a diagnosis, prognosis, and plan of care.
  4. When presented with a clinical case study, analyze and interpret examination data and determine appropriate interventions for the clinical problems presented.
  5. Determine appropriate elements of the rehabilitation treatment program for patients with vestibular dysfunction
  6. Perform appropriate interventions for patients with vestibular dysfunction
