Student Learning Outcomes

  1. At the end of the course, the student should be able to: Interpret and explain fundamental wastewater engineering concepts.
  2. Ability to design systems, components, or processes in Wastewater Engineering.
  3. Solve problems in wastewater engineering.
  4. Explain processes involved in physical treatment, chemical treatment, biological treatment, and sludge treatment.
  5. Ability to apply knowledge of mathematics through differential equations, calculus- based physics, chemistry, and environmental science.
  6. Ability to identify, formulate, and solve civil engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics.
  7. Ability to apply knowledge in the following civil engineering areas: Environmental.
  8. Engineering, Water Resources Engineering.
  9. Ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
  10. Ability to function on multidisciplinary teams.
