NRSG 333 Child/Adult Health II
The primary content areas are maintenance of oxygenation, gastrointestinal, endocrine, and integumentary function. Learning experiences will focus on bio-psycho-social-spiritual assessment and the implementation of nursing interventions to enhance and promote adaptation for the child, adult, and family. Various resources and agencies will be utilized to provide the student with appropriate nursing care situations.

- Apply the nursing process in the: a. Assessment of oxygenation, endocrine and gastrointestinal function, and integumentary status. b. Formulation of nursing diagnoses and goals pertinent to the client and family. c. Safe Implementation of nursing interventions based on assessed needs. d. Evaluation of effectiveness of planned nursing actions.
- Incorporate knowledge of the developmental patterns and cultural variations of clients and families in multiple environments as they relate to the various stages of health and SLO #2, 3, 5 illness.
- Utilize nursing research. and evidence-based practice guidelines in the development of a safe plan of care for the client of varied developmental stages and cultures.
- Implement the role of the professional nurse as a member of the health care delivery system.
- Apply the nursing process in the: a. Assessment of oxygenation, endocrine and gastrointestinal function, and integumentary status. b. Formulation of nursing diagnoses and goals pertinent to the client and family. c. Safe Implementation of nursing interventions based on assessed needs. d. Evaluation of effectiveness of planned nursing actions.

- Apply nursing research, evidence-based practice, and knowledge from the liberal arts in refining nursing practice.
