ID 110 Artificial Intelligence and Global Citizenship

This course introduces participants to the literacy, principles, practices, and societal implications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education, research, and daily life within a global and culturally diverse context. Students will develop conceptual understanding, ethical reasoning, and hands-on experience with AI tools while critically examining how AI technologies are shaped by different cultures, communities, and regions worldwide. Through case studies, cross-cultural perspectives, and collaborative inquiry, the course fosters awareness of global inequities, cultural values, and social responsibilities related to AI development and use. Participants will build the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to engage thoughtfully with AI in an interconnected global society.
