Room Personalization
We encourage individual expression through room personalization. Roommates may decorate your room together; however, the University is also concerned for your safety and damage to University property. Accordingly, the following guidelines should be noted before you begin decorating your room.
- No false walls or floors are permitted.
- No bed risers and/or lofts outside of the university-sponsored lofts are permitted.
- Double sided carpet tape is prohibited.
- Only poster putty or 3M hooks are allowed to hang posters or pictures. Nails, tacks, etc. are not allowed.
- The outside of room doors and windows are visible to all members of the community, and as such, decorations should be kept to a minimum. Residents will be asked to remove any offensive or inappropriate materials.
- Decals, bumper stickers and contact paper may not be affixed to University property. Students will be assessed for any and all damages to University property (allowing for normal wear and tear).
- No painting of walls is permitted.
