TECH 402 Computer Forensics
This course examines the use of computers in the commission of crimes, collection, analysis, and production of digital evidence. Students will use computer resources to explore basic forensic investigative techniques.
Outcomes
- Ability to identify, gather, interpret, and document evidence of attacks.
- Understand the tools, methods, and platforms implemented in a forensic investigation.
- The capability of incident response to determine and quantify the loss of property and impacts of an attack.
- Identification of the vulnerability and security gaps attackers use to avoid legal action.
