NRSG 510 Foundations of Professional Nursing Practice
This course centers on knowledge, skills, attitudes, and abilities foundational to professional nursing practice. Clinical decision-making processes are a primary course focus and provide a framework to help direct-entry MSN students think critically, make informed clinical judgements, and assess factors that influence safe and effective care delivery. Concepts related to patient and staff safety in the provision of fundamental nursing skills are presented throughout the course. Learning experiences include laboratory skills, simulated patient care, and direct patient care.

Admitted to the DEMSN program.
