Certificate in Governing Forms

Overview

The certificate in Governing Forms is designed to expose students to different types of political governance in the world, including American and European governments, transnational governance in the European Union, and governance in the international system.

Requirements

Students may earn an undergraduate certificate in Governing Forms by fulfilling the following requirements.

Students must take all of the following courses:

POLS 104	American National Government	3
POLS 325	Comparative European Governments	3
POLS 333	World Politics	3
POLS 335	The European Union	3
Total Credit Hours:		12

Students majoring or minoring in Political Science cannot earn this certificate.

Outcomes

1. Students will demonstrate familiarity with several forms of governance, including American and European national governments, governance in the international system, and transnational governance in Europe.

2. Students will demonstrate the ability to think critically about the challenges of governance in various contexts.
