EESC 471 Geology Field Experience

An advanced exploration and application of geologic topics covered in EESC 271 with reference to a particular location. Lectures and discussions will meet once weekly during the semester culminating in a weeklong field experience in May.

  2. Describe in technical terms the specific geologic features of the field site
  3. Discuss historical, social, economic, or cultural factors of the field site
  4. Know how to map a field site
  5. Collaborate with others to develop a comprehensive picture of the geology of a field site
  6. Develop a data set that may be used for GIS mapping
