FREN 202 Intermediate French II
Discussion and composition skills are developed through the discussion of topics of daily interest in French-speaking countries.

Student Learning Outcomes
- The student will master material from lessons 32-52 of the French in Action text.
- The student will practice speaking in French and will show increased facility in using target vocabulary dealing with themes developed during the course.
- The student will improve his/her writing accuracy through writing and revising compositions.
- The student will learn to use written and spoken French to express personal opinions on topics that rise in class and in the compositions.
- The student will review and master grammatical structures as presented in French in Action.
- The student will develop reading attack strategies and increase the speek of his/her French reading though vocabulary development and exposure to a variety of texts.
- The student will gain increased comfort and accuracy in understanding spoken French through the use of authentic materials.
- The student will master a working French vocabulary of ca. 1600 words.
- The student will apply rules of French pronunciation to new reading texts.
- The student will be able to describe new insights into the geography, history and lifestyles in parts of the French-speaking world.
