HLTH 208 Anatomy and Physiology for Health Professions I

This course is an examination of the structure and function of the human body. The physiological principles at the organ-system and organ levels are emphasized with a focus on nervous, skeletal integumentary, endocrine, and muscular systems.

  1. Apply appropriate terminology to describe anatomical locations, levels of organization within the body, and the body systems.
  2. Use anatomical terminology to describe the basic anatomy (structure) and physiology (function) of the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, and endocrine systems.
  3. Describe homeostasis and identify homeostatic imbalances that can occur within the human body.
