HLTH 208 Anatomy and Physiology for Health Professions I
This course is an examination of the structure and function of the human body. The physiological principles at the organ-system and organ levels are emphasized with a focus on nervous, skeletal integumentary, endocrine, and muscular systems.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Apply appropriate terminology to describe anatomical locations, levels of organization within the body, and the body systems.
- Use anatomical terminology to describe the basic anatomy (structure) and physiology (function) of the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, and endocrine systems.
- Describe homeostasis and identify homeostatic imbalances that can occur within the human body.
