HLTH 209 Anatomy and Physiology for Health Professions II

This course is a continuation of Anatomy and Physiology for Health Professions I and focuses on immune, digestive, reproductive, urinary, cardiovascular, and respiratory systems.

Student Learning Outcomes

  1. Use anatomical terms o describe the basic anatomy (structure) and physiology (functioning) of the body systems covered in this course (cardiovascular, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, urinary, and reproductive).
  2. Describe human embryonic development.
  3. Describe homeostasis (including, but not limited to fluid, electrolyte, and acid-base homeostasis), and some of the homeostatic imbalances that can occur in the body system covered in this course.
