NRSG 428 NCLEX Success

. This course, designed for the final semester student nurse, focuses on the development of NCLEX success strategies. The student will participate in a thorough review of nursing knowledge and a personalized remediation plan. ATI will be utilized heavily as the primary resource for this course. This course will be blended in that there will be a classroom component while students are on campus, online expectations when the students are off campus at capstone preceptorship experiences, as well as independent study requirements.

Student Learning Outcomes

  1. Identify strengths and weaknesses of nursing content areas.
  2. Develop an individual NCLEX success plan specific to students’ needs from identified weak content areas.
  3. Commit to an individual concentrated test plan to ensure success on the NCLEX exam.
  4. Apply critical thinking and clinical judgment specific for the NCLEX exam.
  5. Complete and Review exam style questions using Kaplan’s Decision Tree to ensure success on the NCLEX exam.
