SPAN 320 Advanced Spanish II
A continuation of SPAN 310. Specific attention will be paid to the acquisition of idiomatic expressions, mastery of the sequence of tenses, and written & oral analysis of brief socio-literary texts.

- Express her/himself fully on some concrete sociocultural, academic and professional topics related to Spanish culture in various time frames, including sharing and supporting her/his point of view in discussion on some complex issues.
- Deliver well-organized, rehearsed presentations on concrete sociocultural topics related to Spanish culture and present detailed information about events and experiences, in various time frames and with a good level of accuracy, clarity, and precision.
- Write fairly extensively on a variety of sociocultural topics related to Spanish culture in the form of well organized, detailed paragraphs in various time frames.
- Understand the main idea and most supporting details in a variety of texts related to Spanish culture and follow stories and descriptions of considerable length and in various time frames. Understand a wide variety of written materials about Spanish culture in neutral language, including some abstract concepts, and materials on a more specific topic of their choosing written in scholarly language.
- Discuss and critique a comprehensive number of aspects related to Spain, including pivotal historical dates and figures, cultural aspects in their respective context, and contemporary social, cultural, and political issues.
