Being able to implement solutions that protect the health of both humans and the environment requires a diverse set of skills. That’s why our Environmental Science program offers courses that build a strong background in the sciences, as well as engineering – all grounded in the liberal arts.

We are proposing to add CHEM 343 as another option to satisfy the 3rd semester of Chemistry in the Environmental Science major. This was planned to be part of the original Environmental Science major but apparently it fell through the cracks.

Students must currently take one of these courses: EESC 430 OR EESC 450.
With the addition of the Civil Engineering major we want to expand the options available to students and allow them to satisfy this requirement by taking ONE of the four courses. (of course they can take more if they choose to).
