GER 320 German Culture and Civilization
Students will be exposed to a general history of the German-speaking countries of Europe and will examine modern trends and institutions. Conducted in German.

- The student will learn vocabulary associated with historical developments in the German states and modern German culture.
- The student will improve reading skills through mastering the assignments in the book.
- The student will improve listening skills through lectures, reports, taped materials, and discussions in class.
- The student will improve verbal skills through participation in discussion in German.
- The student will be able to identify major events in German history.
- The student will better understand current issues in the news concerning the German-speaking countries.
