MUS 161 Harmony/Theory II
In this class the student will gain the ability to discern the design, proportions, and patters of music by developing skills in 4-part voice leading, harmonic progressions, 7th chords, modulation, and secondary chords.

- Understand and create circle of fifths chord progressions.
- Identify, construct, and utilize seventh chords, including dominants and non-dominants.
- Identify, construct, and utilize chords at the secondary level.
- Identify, construct, and utilize common chord, chromatic, and phrase modulations.
- Identify and analyze simple binary and ternary form.
