Advanced intervallic and melodic dictation including intervals ascending and descending through the major 10th. Advanced harmonic dictation including secondary triads and sevenths. Advanced sight singing of diatonic and chromatic melodies including modulation.

  1. You will be able to arpeggiate any of the five common seventh chords from a given pitch using solfege
  2. You will identify seventh chords played melodically or harmonically
  3. You will write melodic and harmonic dictation involving chromatic harmony, including secondary dominants, secondary sevenths, Neapolitan, and augmented sixth chords
  4. You will be able to arpeggiate chromatic chord progressions, including secondary dominants, secondary sevenths, Neapolitan, and augmented sixth chords
  5. You will be able to sight-read more advanced melodies
