BSST 312 Financial Statements and Analysis

Financial Statements and Analysis prepares students to compile customer financial information to determine repayability, collateralization, and compliance with the financial institution's lending criteria. Industry-specific credit analysis for agricultural, business, and personal lending will be covered. Online only

  1. Apply several basic financial statement analysis techniques.
  2. Examine the relationship between net income (accounting profit) and cash flows from operations for firms across different industries.
  3. Understand debt financing and evaluate its implications for analysis.
  4. Explain the importance of liquidity, and describe working capital measures of liquidity and their components.
  5. Understand the basic analysis measures as they apply to consumer, agricultural, and commercial businesses.
