KNS 224 Archery
This course introduces students to the fundamentals of archery, including proper shooting techniques, equipment handling, and range safety. Students will learn essential skills such as stance, aiming, drawing, and releasing while developing focus, coordination, and accuracy. Designed for all skill levels, this course emphasizes both recreational and competitive aspects of the sport. Classes will include structured practice sessions, drills, and target shooting challenges. Students will have the opportunity at the end of course to sit for a certification exam to be able teach/coach archery in schools through the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP).

- 1) Demonstrate proper archery form, including stance, grip, and shooting technique
- 2) Safely handle and maintain archery equipment, including bows, arrows, and protective gear.
- 3) Understand and apply range safety rules and procedures.

- 5) Identify and apply scoring methods used in archery competitions.
- 6) Appreciate archery as a lifetime sport that promotes health & fitness, and enhances focus, discipline, and coordination.
