KNS 262 Middle School Activities and Materials
This course will provide instruction of various fundamental movements for middle school students. Students will be exposed to such activities as team sports, personal fitness, and games.

- Identify the characteristics of a quality middle school physical education program.
- Know, understand and be able to demonstrate the most efficient way to teach sports skills.
- Explain why physical education is a vital component of the school curriculum.
- Know, understand and be able to demonstrate a variety of motor skills, tactics, and strategies as they relate to becoming a proficient games player.
- Identify and deliver appropriate movement tasks based on the observed skill level of students.
- Identify critical errors through observation of students performing fundamental motor skills.
- Develop developmentally appropriate lessons for middle school students.
- Use the World Wide Web and the telecommunication features of the Internet as a means to enhance teaching and learning in physical education.
- Develop and implement practical assessments for students as a way to check for understanding.
